Tour - Part 1

At Otter Creek Brewing, we brew most of our beers with just 4 ingredients:

  1. pure Vermont water

  2. malts (grains which have been germinated and then kiln-dried) Many of our beers are brewed according to the German Purity Law, Reinheitsgebot, so our main ingredient is barley. A few of our beers also have wheat, and our oatmeal stout has oats, of course..

  3. hops (vine plants which produce aromatic hop flowers used for bittering and preserving beer)

  4. our own special yeast

The first step in making great beer:
Malted barley is milled to crack open the grain and release the starch and enzymes within.
